The link between the colon and the spine

This link is very rarely mentioned in back pathologies.

We all know that if you want to maintain your back, you have to maintain your abdominal muscles.

But we forget the colon, the great absentee of back treatment.

As a radiologist who has spent 20 years diagnosing back pathologies using X-rays, CT scans and MRIs, I now know that to better understand back diseases, it’s not enough to examine the spine from every angle. We need to go deeper, and to find the main causes of spinal pain, we need to look at the colon. Why? 80% of back pain is chronic pain (which has nothing to do with sciatica or lumbago) and is caused by medical conditions, mainly nutritional errors. The mistakes we make every day, by not giving our bodies the foods that are beneficial to them, gradually lead to colon intoxication, which in turn intoxicates the spine.

This intoxication of the spine has two scientific names: inflammation and metabolic acidosis.

Understandably, this chronic micro-inflammation leads to chronic pain. And this acidosis is as if every day, through an acidifying diet, you were depositing micro-droplets of acid (which burns) in your ligaments and vertebral discs, which will gradually eat away at you and cause you pain.

So, to correct most low back pain, we need to correct our nutrition and gradually switch from inflammatory and acidifying nutrition to the opposite.

If you suffer from chronic back pain, it’s better to invest in healthy nutrition than to look for the cause in your spine.

Changing your nutrition will improve your overall health

Because nutritional medicine is cross-disciplinary: moving from a refined, devitalized diet to a living diet will lead to better health for all your organs: colon-column, heart, skin, brain, hormones.
