Breast cancer is a hormone-dependent cancer, so generally prescribes hormonal treatment for women with breast cancer: hormone therapy.
The aim of this treatment is to considerably reduce the secretion of estrogen, which promotes the multiplication of cancer cells. While effective in treating breast cancer, it unfortunately leads to early menopause, with its concomitant symptoms: hot flushes and joint pain.
